Did you know a StarLine system can be adjusted without the car coming back?

One parameter to change, and the customer lives three hours away.
On S9- and B9- series systems the owner can grant remote access from his app for an hour, a day, or permanently. ( to Authorised installers only )
USB, phone over OTG, Bluetooth in the workshop, every normal way of configuring a system needs the car in front of you. Which is fine until it drives away. Then a single parameter means the customer driving back, sometimes across half the country, for five minutes of work.
Systems with telematics: the S9 and B9 series can be configured over the air instead. The owner grants access himself, from his app, choosing who gets it and for how long: an hour, a day, a week, or no limit at all. Within that window the system can be adjusted and mistakes corrected remotely, with the car wherever it happens to be.
Remote access is for authorised installers only. That is also the practical difference between the two levels: a standard installer can write up to 30 Flexible Logic programs, an authorised one up to 60 and can work on customers' systems from a distance.
Getting there means passing authorisation and an exam on how the system actually works. Not a formality: changing parameters on a car you cannot see is easy to get wrong, so the access goes to people who understand what their changes will do.
If you have been fitting StarLine for years and have a customer base spread across a region, this is the part of the programme that pays for itself.
